The Bristol School of Shiatsu

One of the oldest Shiatsu schools in the country. Established by Keith Philips. Provides in-depth professional training in Shiatsu. They offer courses at all levels of knowledge starting with three-weekend Foundation Courses for beginners, followed by a one-year course which is the first part of the three-year Practitioner Training. Also offer post-graduate  Shiatsu courses and workshops.


Well Mother- Suzanne Yates

Well Mother supports the wisdom of parents and babies with massage, shiatsu and exercise.They run courses for health professionals (massage, shiatsu, midwives, doulas and birth educators) in the UK and abroad (in various languages).

Set up in 1990 by Suzanne Yates, Well Mother supports the wisdom of parents and babies by promoting the use of shiatsu, massage, ante and post natal exercise/education, infant massage, and relaxation as a core part of 21st century maternity care. They recognise that the long term health of women is affected by their maternity experience and work with them before (while trying to conceive) and after, including the menopause and beyond.


The Shiatsu Society

The Shiatsu Society is a non-profit organisation which represents all styles and the majority of Shiatsu practitioners, schools and students in the UK – promoting their work and professionalism.
